MiMJ Update

Hello everyone! In the week before Spring Break, Millersville University announced that there would be a weeklong extension on break and classes would begin remotely the following week. Shortly after, Millersville announced that classes would remain online for the duration of the semester. While information regarding the Made in Millersville conference may have been a little confusing to many, we have been working hard to clarify information about the journal publication. If you have already confirmed and began the publishing process with the editorial team, you should have received an email during the break from our Project Manager for Authors, Phoebe. ____________________________________________________________________________ Dear Student Author, You may have questions about what is happening in regard to the Made in Millersville Journal publication process with the recent developments of COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania, and our campus moving online. We are going to continue our publication process as planned, due to the fact that we are invested in your successful publishing experience. As for the Made in Millersville Conference, you will be updated via email when/if changes are made. That being said, you should be receiving another email from the Made in Millersville Journal soon about where you are in the publishing process and what pieces we may be missing from you. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have! Best, Made in Millersville Journal Team ____________________________________________________________________________ If you missed any deadlines during the two-week break, you are still able to send us what you have regardless of what stage you’re in. Our team is working hard to ensure every student who signed up to publish is able to be a part of the 2020 Made in Millersville Journal publication. Additionally, if you’re having issues due to accessibility to equipment for completing research, we urge you to send us an email addressing your issues so we can work out a solution. We’re more than willing to work with you so you are able to be published. If you’re a student who wasn’t originally planning on publishing but was signed up to present at the conference, the Made in Millersville Journal will be reopening submissions as an option due to the cancelation of the in-person conference. The virtual conference and publication reveal date has been rescheduled to take place on April 27th, and the deadline for signing up to publish is April 5th.
