Anterior Cruciate Ligaments

Alexis Jenkins definitely is very active from the start. Sports have always been her passion; growing up, you could always catch her outside at the softball field playing with her high school, tournament team, or family. This all was until she had an almost career-ending injury occur not just once but twice. Luckily, she could continue to play two years of college softball, but she always wondered why tearing your ACL, also known as your Anterior Cruciate Ligament, was such a big deal. Now years later, she is a Senior here at Millersville studying Sports Journalism. After graduation, she plans to work her way into the ESPN world to eventually become an ESPN Broadcast Journalist.
Meet Marie
Marie dunkle
Marie Dunkle is a graduate student at Millersville University with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and is pursuing a teaching certification and master’s degree in education. Marie has not yet decided if she would like to teach high school or elementary school students, but hopes to figure this out during her student teaching semester. She is a repeat participator of the Made in Millersville conference. Her last presentation was in Spring 2016 with “The Unseen: An Exhibition of Abstract Paintings Regarding the Art of Waste.” She has won a creativity grant each time she has participated in the Made in Millersville conference.
