Anterior Cruciate Ligaments

Alexis Jenkins definitely is very active from the start. Sports have always been her passion; growing up, you could always catch her outside at the softball field playing with her high school, tournament team, or family. This all was until she had an almost career-ending injury occur not just once but twice. Luckily, she could continue to play two years of college softball, but she always wondered why tearing your ACL, also known as your Anterior Cruciate Ligament, was such a big deal. Now years later, she is a Senior here at Millersville studying Sports Journalism. After graduation, she plans to work her way into the ESPN world to eventually become an ESPN Broadcast Journalist.

Focus on Fine Art Metals

The advanced jewelry students here at Millersville created this exhibition of their metal work to showcase their talents in the arts. In this group we have five students presenting their work. Gabrielle Rudig is a Senior at Millersville University studying Art Education and a bachelor’s in fine arts with a concentration in jewelry. She has taken jewelry and metals classes since high school. Emily McComsey is a Senior with a major of Occupational Safety and Environmental Health. Emily started metal working in High School as well and is currently in her 6th year of jewelry making. Oscar McDonah is currently a sophomore with a major in Bachelor of Fine Arts and has been creating with metal for 4 years. Mary Kay started her ‘Signs of Life” jewelry design business 30 years ago and works in various mediums. She is a senior at MSU seeking a bachelor’s degree in fine arts with metal smithing as her concentration.
Liza Hardy is a Senior with a major in English and a minor in Metals. They started metalsmithing in 2020 here at Millersville. Liza works large scale, making pieces such as masks or sculptural pieces. This group of hardworking and creative students created pieces that show collaboration, meaning, and beauty through their designs and concepts.
