Kristina Diefenderfer is an International Studies and Government & Political Affairs dual major with a minor in Spanish Culture Studies. She is in her senior year of studies at Millersville University. Utilizing the classes that she has taken during her time in the INTL and GOVT departments, Kristina wanted to take a deeper look at the complex humanitarian issues that affect civilians in her regional focus of the Middle East. Climate change, food insecurity, and refugee issues are particular areas of interest, prompting a research project of a multidisciplinary nature through the lens of these foci. Kristina plans on attending graduate school, where she will further hone in on her research skills and academic interests.
